My concept consists of creating and giving space to one of the minorities, which in my country and in the world has been quite demoralised and\or excluded. Being represented as something beautiful that is worth admiring.

  • Description of the concept
My concept is all about giving visibility to a marginalised community.
    Give visibility to trans people.
    Give visibility to trans-immigrant people.
Give visibility to trans people outside the standard of beauty.
People who are made to believe that they are not beautiful, that they do not fit, that they do not belong to society. However, this is where my concept comes in, here its differences are celebrated, these differences that make them unique and yes, beautiful and Worthy of admiration.

    Art
All the materials used for the realisation of my concept were old materials and nothing was bought for the realisation of it, in other words the realisation of the same was done in a sustainable way.
And that art you don't need to build and create something big and spend a huge amount of resources, sometimes art can be found in the simplest things that are around us, as in this case people.
The concept itself is more of a movement and serves to create a change of thought.
In cultural terms, the concept aims to represent other cultures and other people, such as non-white, non-slender, curly-haired people, everything that is not main stream and out of the standard that is forced to us.

Para além de também dar espaço a toda uma cultura queer e trans.
In addition to also giving space to a whole queer and trans culture.
Behind these minorities there is a rich culture, that deserves to be seen.
Which I believe will serve to bring positive behaviours and emotions to these people and that eventually begin to make more space for them.
My concept is all about inclusion. What does not need to be expensive, just spread knowledge or give space for others to do it. It can be done with simple little things like my concept, or through an information network organised and promoted by governments, which will never be so expensive and is a necessity at this point to evolve as humans and society.
The project was made in order to benefit citizens and in the hope of having a positive impact for them, through the representation of some members of society that is not given the space.
Undoing the pattern and creating a new idea, an idea that represents all kinds of people and celebrates their differences, both as a black and brown person, both as trans.
The concept is supposed to have an impact and involvement worldwide, whether local, regional, national and international.
It is the exact purpose of the concept, it is a message, it is an opportunity for visibility and equality without barriers.
And both in the visual part of the concept, some of the best known world monuments are represented, which in itself already encompasses the various nations throughout the globe or implies.
For the creation of this design and throughout its development, it took some knowledge of human anatomy, some resources from the area of architecture and basic knowledge of drawing and painting, all together to create and give life to this concept.
My concept alone is already innovative, just because it is dedicated to representing what is not represented, what is not seen. Not mainstream.
Because unfortunately it is very rare to see a trans, emigrant and non-white person being represented as beautiful, as a monument, give visibility in general.
In my country this is rare, despite being a country with a huge mix of nationalities, the only representation is always someone white, thin, cis gender and straight. So I wanted to dedicate this concept to all these people who are not seen but deleted and celebrate their identities.
I believe that the main element that can be used and transferred to other contexts would be the model in question, the person to whom the concept is dedicated, either as a probable reference of anatomical learning. To be included in future studies trans bodies.
The biggest point that the concept is directed to the lack of visibility and equality towards trans-immigrant and non-white people.
And in addition the opportunity to be seen as beautiful people and celebrate their identities, as well as validate them.
Since the concept portrays the lack of visibility of people within the trans spectrum, one way to combat this would be to print posters, pamphlets, stickers, etc... in all possible places so that society had no other option but to see them and be aware of their existence.
