Walk enjoy, delight ourselves with the best of our city: All its services: All the same.
The lack of services and infrastructure due to economic or racial differences are some of the weak elements that arise in today's cities. This project is born, of integral action, so that all citizens have entrance to a more fair and egalitarian world, and we believe that access to training and culture in the form of a library is fundamental. We seek a more social Europe, pursue the implementation of social rights, fight poverty and improve access to basic public resources.

To speak about BADAJOZ means to speak about a modern and sustainable city, full of green areas and facilities.
It would be ideal for our beloved Badajoz to lead a project that was capable of eradicating poverty barriers, had many more investments in cooperation and development and all citizens had access to a world without borders, where we were all equal.

What do we want? We deal with important issues not only in development but also in the objective, and the best target is to help and facilitate a better life for disadvantaged social sectors. We intend to create a LIBRARY, and thereby ensure the much-needed training of children, young people, women and men, and each of us could relate to the achievement of skills and competences necessary to face the complex global challenges. With this LIBRARY, our main objective is not only the promotion of reading, but also that this building is the spyglass that makes them look at the rest of the citizens of our city as equals. The gap that separates the richest neighborhood from the poorest one is rising more and more, in such a way that since 2008 the rich neighborhoods have increased their wealth, and the poorest have become much poorer. With this reality citizens do not look at themselves as equals.Education and culture is the “magic wand” that can make this vary in our city. Qualified students, young people with education, women who feel empowered, esteemed, who change their role, and become from being invisible to visibility. In most households, women were the key to livelihoods, food security, income generation, improved livelihoods and overall well-being.It is time for women to contribute in decision-making... What will they need? Preparation, Training and Skills for life which will be necessary in an increasingly multifaceted, plural and interdependent world, and we will try to actively participate in their learning. We want to acquire a sincere and authentic commitment to sustainable development, equity and training.
We want to change the perspective of "asking" – "giving", we are going to create education spaces, so that our goal is the incorporation into the world of work, educational support in children and young people, change women´s roles, etc.
INCLUSIVE - EGALITARIAN: IT HAS TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CHALLENGE OF THE CITY.
CULTURE - FORMATION: THE BASIS OF A FREE SOCIETY
DIGITIZATION: THE INDISCREET WINDOW.
EQUITABLE - INTEGRATIVE: WE ARE ALL EQUAL.
VUNERABILIDAD - INSECURITY: CHALLENGE TO FIGHT.
PROMOTE CULTURAL AND TRAINING VALUES: We are committed to the formation of this area.
In children, reinforcing the knowledge received in the educational center is important, and also having mention in learning a new subject or skill (playing the guitar, ICT, languages, dance, theater).
In men, culturizing and training go together to change the role, breaking the predisposition of "I am poor but that's how I stay I don't want to evolve, I prefer to be a subsidized all my life".
In women, it's not just about working. I need to train and learn to empower, accept and value myself as a person, for dignity and inclusivity in the modern city.
-PROMOTE SOCIAL INTEGRATION. I belong to this society, I cannot live behind or against it, I cannot harm it, nor fail to respect the infrastructures that surround me and improve my life. I must participate actively by right and duty as a citizen.
-INTEGRATE, UNIFY, MERGE THE NEIGHBORHOOD WITH THE REST OF THE CITY. Our neighborhood needs you, we want you to make part of it. Sharing and offering what we have to the rest of the city, and collaborating on other projects beyond our confines.
-IMPLEMENT TECHNOLOGY, DIGITAL TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGICAL RESOURCES TO OPTIMIZE EDUCATIONAL PROCESSES AND INCORPORATION INTO JOB MARKET: DIGITALIZATION. We know how important the internet is, but we have to learn that the use of the internet and digital resources go beyond the indiscreet window of social networks. Internet should be used as a necessary tool to open into a world of possibilities such as: job search, information and communication techniques sharing tastes and interests, connection with other places to share information in real time. The Internet paves the way for learning, by stimulating to locate information.
-COMBATING THE DIGITAL DIVIDE: ICT CULTURE. Although the number of illiteracy is decreasing, women continue to bear the brunt of doubling the number compared to men, this fight can be struggled with awereness.
INCLUSIVE-EGALITARIAN:
The challenge is not easy, but we bet that "Chance for all" is the bridge that women and men need to equip themselves with the rest of the citizens of Badajoz. Feel part of Badajoz and include ourselves in our city.
CULTURE-TRAINING: "Chance for all" is an opportunity to work for the promotion of the rights, protection, culture, coexistence, education and well-being of people in vulnerable situations. For decades the school has undergone a process of transformation, and although all are inclusive, the learning difficulty of some children in this area is due to the lack of this type of center. We have to adapt to this new reality since society is increasingly more diverse.
DIGITALIZATION: With this tool our center will help in the job search, information techniques and communication sharing tastes and interests and connection with other areas in order to share information in real time.
EQUITABLE-INCLUSIVE: Our work is not about promoting respect for cultural freedom but educating in equal rights, fighting against any form of discrimination and promoting social justice.
VULNERABILITY-INSECURITY: We intend a collaborative work with the rest of the citizens of Badajoz. Open the doors of our neighborhood to the rest of the city and make safety the daily guideline.
The most powerful justification of our project would be this: A LIBRARY is one of the most democratic services that exists. There are people who cannot enjoy it, and it is basic and essential, and even more so if those who do not have it are the most vulnerable, those who do not enjoy the same facilities and opportunities for access to information and knowledge as the rest of the community itself.
A library in these neighborhoods so in need of FORMATION is the fundamental WINDOW for a change to take place... It will allow them to achieve social skills to interact with the environment with a more positive, secure attitude and full of self-esteem.
BADAJOZ, is a pioneer in preserving the environment: Modern electrical buses, green areas between its buildings, a wide walk along the Guadiana River, modern and functional that invites its citizens to walk, leisure and sport. Well, imagine, in this hidden place of pleasure and relaxation for the senses a small urban nucleus that lives with its back to this, then imagine a LIBRARY in this neighborhood, very close to the city center, but vulnerable.
Sometimes, the location of these neighborhoods on the brims of the cities either by the concept that the rest of the city has of them or by the type of neighbors who inhabit them (unemployed, discontinuous workers, people with little formation), create urban centers with a different cultural identity, sometimes they are even in search of that identity. They are neighborhoods in which the population does not have spaces of coexistence or common participation, in many cases relations are tense or do not exist, so neighborhood is shared but in parallel worlds.
The 2030 Agenda for SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF THE UNITED NATIONS, has among its objectives TO ENHANCE AND PROMOTE THE SOCIAL INCLUSION OF ALL PEOPLE, regardless of age, sex, race, ethnicity, disability, religion, origin or monetary situation.
In addition, it seeks that they have the same opportunities and resources to participate in the social, cultural, economic and political life of a society.
Social inclusion looks for equality in Human Rights and comprehensively improve their living conditions. Its main objective is that a person has a series of educational, social, labor and economic opportunities and privileges like the rest of the society in which they live.
So, our project is based on a series of needs of a neighborhood that can not be turned to that wonderful walk that others enjoy and walk, let's look at it, however not looking from the horizon, but making them part of it.

The EU is committed to an INCLUSIVE SOCIETY, with greater equality among people, this would be a more diverse, rich and valuable society in aspects such as access to public, educational and health services, promotion of labor insertion, access to a balanced diet and guarantee housing to live with dignity.
We scour for a project based on the cohesion of an egalitarian world, on claiming justice for what they do not have and on achieving social integration, to improve the disadvantaged situation of people due to their identity.
The objective of our project:
For whom? CITIZENS of a part of our city known as LAS MORERAS.
For what? So that they can participate and fully enjoy the areas of services and technologies offered by Badajoz.
What do they have to understand? This project is not only beneficial for them and their environment, they must also understand that the basis of the prosperity of Badajoz with undeveloped areas, or that present social exclusion, will never occur, if their areas are not rehabilitated. And this supposes a high cost for the whole society in general.
What do we need to improve? We believe we have to improve people's living conditions, in addition to offering the same employment, economic and educational opportunities that the rest of the city has and enjoys.
What conditions must be met? UNDERSTANDING. Understand how beneficial it is for our city.
A neighborhood, Las Moreras where CULTURE gets better, and in what a better place than in a LIBRARY!
The LIBRARY does not arise as something isolated, it would not be logical. Las Moreras currently has a very important youth and child population for Badajoz, and from our point of view, we can not leave them alone.
This Library would be the nerve center for the development of other activities, other formations, and why not? The beginning of all the good that is for coming. LET'S TRY WITH EDUCATION! LET'S BET ON FORMATION!
We start from a fact that working in places which are apart from the rest of the community is hard, but it would be imposible if we also didn´t face to them. And in Badajoz, nobody hides the sight, nobody wants to keep this situation of exclusion, and although it often generates fear or uncertainty, citizens and, of course, the institutions of Badajoz at all levels work with the desire to recover this city area.
They are neighborhoods where the crisis has only deepened the situation of precariousness, poverty and marginalization. Despite all this, we have discovered the human potential that exists among neighbours, the ability to organize and improve their environment, the ability to learn, to look for other elements that complement and give meaning to lives threatened by daily reality.
These neighbors need constant presence of people who accompany them in the effort to reconquer lost or usurped dignities.
From the City Council of Badajoz, and more specifically from the Municipal Institute of Social Services, and specifically in the person of its director José Antonio Expósito, who kindly put us in contact with all the agencies that work in the area, carrying out work of approaching the needy people so that they will help us first and foremost to analyze and know the reality.
In this area, the collective work is another of the fundamental elements, in front of an individualistic society that isolates people. In certain areas, it is essential to create a neighborhood concept able to become a socializing space that serves as a social network, a space where the person returns to be the center, as a member of a collective; in the face of a capitalist and individualistic system that isolates and forces daily competition.

State libraries are the access to a world in which the information, learning and cultural entertainment orbit.
A world which is at disposal of the society to take advantage for a personal and professional growing.
Libraries available, open and welcoming loaded with endless opportunities that make them a necessary service for the most needy neighborhoods.
A library is linked to social service equally for all people, so why don't vulnerable neighborhoods have a space to enjoy it?
Its usefulness brings many benefits, and the use of each person, each group or collective uses it in its own way to be able to get the most out of it, and the advancement of people and society.
A world without libraries is a world without equal opportunities, and so why don't needy neighborhoods have one?
If a world without libraries is a world without equal opportunities and plunged into information chaos, then how can a needy neighborhood survive without libraries? It is vitally important to establish one as soon as possible so that the social, cultural and information gap is reduced now...
A library is an informative, educational and cultural space in which freedom, neutrality and knowledge prevail. What can we do in it? According to the age groups, one use or another will be dispensed with; But it will always be a space for learning:
Children:
- School Support.
- Support for students.
- Educational guidance.
Young people:
Men and Women:
-Motivation to employment.
- Support for self-employment.
- Teaching how to fill out documents.
- Adult education.
-Literacy.
-Entrepreneurship.
-Social inclusion.
- Health training.
The initiative is innovative because there is no vulnerable area with a LIBRARY.
If we establish the resources available to any neighborhood of Badajoz, compared to the neighborhood analyzed: Las Moreras, this would be quite disadvantaged, but we do not compare any service, the similarity we want to establish with the most democratic service that exists for society, why are libraries necessary?
1. Facilitate access to information freely and free of charge; And this protects anyone against ignorance. They provide truthful information.
2. Favor the acquisition and creation of knowledge: Knowledge activates thinking, creativity, imagination and problem solving.
3. Support formation and education: offering opportunities of learning for people to the labor world by having knowledge or updating their skills.
4. Promote social equality and opportunities regardless of economic level, race, religion, nationality, age or sex. Libraries break social and economic borders to balance all levels of society. Anyone can make equal use of the libraries without having to spend anything and without conditions.
5. Promote freedom of opinion, expression and thought. It is a space that is not subject to political, commercial or interest powers.
6. Promote cultural entertainment. It is a space free of economic consumerism, it is a source of fun and escape to delve into culture.
7. Create communities and social union. They are spaces for connection, cohesion and relationship of people in which respect, equity, diversity and inclusion stand out.
8.Activate economic field offering resources for professional growth and job search.
9. Preserve cultural heritage: Public libraries collect and preserve local, regional or national cultural heritage. They guarantee the conservation and provision of knowledge for present and future generations with the informational objective and the creation of new knowledge.
The item that should be transferred to other deprived neighborhoods is a LIBRARY.
Repeating the benefits of this service is unnecessary, but we should encourage these disadvantaged people to be motivated, helped, supported and introduced to critical, creative and collaborative thinking as an educational goal and as a support method to see the light in this world. dark and segregated.
The objectives are to promote in these people:
-Better abilities to think effectively.
-Deeper knowledge to acquire a greater commitment to the world.
-Willingness to act in a thoughtful and ethically responsible manner.
The library has the main challenge of backing and supporting the objectives of its creation, to satisfy the information needs of users, contributing to the development of learning through plans and dynamic activities, trying to increase their knowledge, because the more information is give users, the more knowledge they will acquire and most importantly: they will transmit. Libraries are focused on being part of the development of the human being and information is the tool to build a society capable of making its own decisions.
1.- Know what we want: A Library as a resource for teaching and learning. The success of our library lies in its pedagogical value that goes through literacy, education and general information.
2.- Distribute spaces.
3. Signal spaces, areas and sections.
4. Collect all the scattered documentation and take it (provisionally) to the library to perform the technical process.
5. Make a first purging of what we enter.
6. Organize and manage the book collection
7. Separate and organize, on the one hand, reference, informative and fiction documents in paper format (booklet) and, on the other, documents in audiovisual format (non-booklet). The placement will be made according to educational levels.
8.- Perform a second purging on what has already been placed.
9- Start the technical process:
10. Line volumes and repair damaged documents.
11. Define the lending policy.
12. Make decisions regarding: Types of readers, Duration of loans, Number of volumes, and types, which will be loanable, Reservation of documents. Decisions in case of loss or deterioration of documents, in delay in returns.
13. Select and acquire funds: For the selection take into account:
- Adaptation to students, adaptation to the curriculum and the "Chance for all" project
- Balance between works of fiction, information and attention to diversity.
- Take into account the demands of students and other users.
- Consider the programs and projects in which our project intervenes so that we have everything that interests our children.
- Supplementary document: Books and ages. How to choose works of fiction? How to choose information and consultation works? How to choose picture books?
- Open the library and present it to the community, to the neighborhood.
- Presentation of the library to the teaching staff of our school.
- Develop a library guide
We fight for inequality to disappear, imagine a world without poverty. The gap that the pandemic has caused in the world economy, food insecurity and the consequences of climate change threaten to weaken living conditions in the world: as Oxfam Intermom calculates, the G7 economies could contract by up to 8.5% a year if more ambitious measures against climate change are not taken.
Political leaders, however, when it comes to climate change, know the next steps. However, while with climate change there is some consensus on what the next steps should be, with respect to the labor market they often do not know how to help citizens or the normalization of work...
The problem of inequality represents one of the greatest burdens in the economic recovery of countries such as Spain, but it also prevents a transformation in production processes.
The problem of unemployment has never been addressed from children's learning, from culture, training... And if these children are given a library, I remember that the most democratic place that exists. Could we notice the change?
Let's fight first against lack of culture, school dropout, illiteracy. And surely we will have, young men and women prepared to face life.
Taking short range it's easy to start. We have to look for the best and most attractive activities so that the place, our library attracts all children by itself.
Training must be attractive for young people to see that it bears fruit. This will be what identifies us as a safe PROJECT and a mark of continuity over time.
Surely women and men in the area will see a change in their lives. We will give ideas to create cooperatives or any other form of labor organization that creates employment.
