  • Description of the project
With KUNGUL app, the consumer can quickly get an evaluation of the self-care products, based on its ingredients analyse (EU regulation).
More informations on the app can be found on our instagram page Kungul_app.
Our aim, once we have validated the idea in the Albanian market, is to expand in WB and then focus on emergent markets, where similar applications are not present.
For instance the budget we are looking after is essentially focused on :
    - creating the best conditions for the team to work during the weekends and in the evenings (20k€) ,
    - marketing costs to launch the application (30k€).
    healthier lives
    skincare products scan
    conscious consumers
    empower the consumer
    collaborate within the community
The goal of Kungul is to provide a simple and easy-to-use solution for consumers to quickly check the safety of personal care and cosmetic products. The app scans products and checks if they contain any harmful ingredients based on EU regulations. The users are health-conscious mothers and the customers will be the businesses that offer safe products. Kungul plans to monetize by promoting these businesses on its marketplace. The company has a team of 10 people with diverse expertise and has already reached over 600 early adopters and has a prototype of the app ready. The goal is to reach 1 million euros in benefits and 3 million users by 2025 by expanding in the emergent markets where nothin of the kind exists. The focus of Kungul is on helping people live healthier lives, and profits are secondary. Our aim at Kungul is to provide consumers in emergent countries, a powerful tool in hand, in order to be able to make the right choice for their health.
We promote well-being for all, at all ages and conscious shopping.
We believe that collaboration within our community is the key to success.
Kungul will be the first app of the kind to operate in the region with local usres and local language.
At Kungul, our aim is to create the most localized and user-friendly app for checking the safety of self-care products, helping people live healthier lives. We are working closely with businesses that offer healthy and safe products. Our ultimate goal is to raise standards and improve the perception of self-care in emerging markets, such as Albania and the Western Balkans countries. This app serves as a bridge between these countries and the EU by increasing awareness and providing easy access to EU regulations with just one scan, ultimately leading to healthier lives.
One of the key objectives of the Kungul project is to make health and wellness accessible and affordable for all, regardless of socio-economic background. To achieve this, the Kungul app will be made available to users for free. This will ensure that everyone has the ability to easily and quickly check the safety of the self-care products they purchase, and make informed decisions regarding their health and wellness. Additionally, the app aims to increase awareness of EU regulations on harmful ingredients, and promote healthier lifestyles in emergent markets such as Albania and the Western Balkans. By providing this information in an accessible and user-friendly format, the Kungul project is exemplary in its commitment to inclusion and accessibility for all.
The project includes a way for citizens and consumers to directly contribute to the project's database of products. This allows for an inclusive and collaborative approach to building the product database and improving the accuracy and relevance of information provided by the app. The addition of new products by users will be analyzed and scored by the Kungul team to ensure the information is accurate and trustworthy, and then shared on the app. This engagement with citizens and consumers helps to ensure that the app meets the needs and concerns of the communities it is serving, and makes it a more effective tool for promoting healthy living.
Kungul has received a positive response from its presentation at three Albanian incubators, winning first prize in one of them. The excitement of the audience highlights the need for a tool like Kungul in the market. Kungul has gained 600 early adopters who are currently testing the application. The design and implementation of the project is being carried out by a dedicated team of 10 people, who are fully committed to the vision of the project. The team is working on the project without any compensation, demonstrating their belief in the potential impact of the project.
The design and implementation of the Kungul project involved a diverse range of disciplines and knowledge fields. The team of 10 people includes experts in quality control, branding, data analysis, web development, marketing, and sales. They have worked together to bring their various skills and experiences to the project, resulting in a well-rounded and effective design.

The interaction between representatives of these different fields was key to the success of the project. By bringing together their different perspectives, the team was able to consider the project from multiple angles and make informed decisions that took into account the needs and concerns of all stakeholders. The added value of this process was the creation of a comprehensive and effective solution that met the needs of the target audience and addressed their pain points.
The objective of our project is to build a local, user-friendly application to promote healthy self-care products. Our aim is to increase standards and awareness in emerging markets such as Albania and the Western Balkans, and to provide these communities with access to EU regulations in one easy scan. The application will be free for users, and they will be able to populate the database of products by adding any missing items. After analyzing and scoring the products added, our team will share them on the app.

So far, the application has been presented in three Albanian incubators and has won first prize in one of them. The design and implementation of the project is being done by a team of 10 people for free, who are all invested in the idea. The project has already attracted 600 early adopters who are testing the application.

In terms of results and impacts, the project has already generated excitement among those who have seen it, and has the potential to make a significant impact on promoting healthy self-care habits and increasing access to information about healthy products in emerging markets. The added value of the project lies in its user-friendly design and its ability to connect communities in the Western Balkans with EU regulations, promoting healthier lives for all.
The Kungul project is innovative in its approach to promoting healthy self-care in emerging markets, specifically in Albania and the Western Balkans countries. Unlike mainstream actions in the field, Kungul takes a user-friendly and locally-focused approach. The application is designed to be accessible and affordable for all, and aims to increase awareness and provide EU regulations on healthy self-care products in one place. This is accomplished by allowing users to populate the database with products they know and trust, which are then analyzed and scored by the Kungul team. The innovative aspect of this project is the combination of user engagement and local knowledge, which sets it apart from traditional, top-down approaches to promoting healthy self-care. The unique design of the application, which emphasizes local knowledge and community engagement, is what makes Kungul truly innovative and sets it apart from mainstream actions in the field.
The methodology used in our project, Kungul, is a user-centered design approach. This means that our team put the needs and preferences of the end-users at the forefront of the design and development process. We conducted extensive research and gathered feedback from potential users to ensure that the application is user-friendly, accessible, and meets the specific needs of the target communities in the Western Balkans.

Additionally, we collaborated with businesses offering healthy self-care products and worked to increase awareness of EU regulations in the target regions. This involved integrating information and resources into the app to educate users and promote healthier lifestyles.

Overall, our approach focuses on the creation of a tool that is responsive to the needs of the users and the communities it serves, while also being innovative and providing added value in terms of access to information and resources.
The Kungul project has a replicable and transferable design and approach, making it possible to adapt to other places, groups of beneficiaries, and contexts. The application is built on user-friendly technology that can be easily adopted by other communities. The product scoring and analysis process, as well as the ability for users to add products to the database, can be adapted to fit the needs of different communities. The project's focus on increasing awareness of EU regulations and promoting healthier lifestyles is also a replicable aspect that can benefit other communities. The team's approach of collaborating with businesses offering healthy self-care products and involving citizens and civil society in the project can be applied to other initiatives. These elements combined make the Kungul project a model that can be adapted and applied in other contexts, leading to similar positive outcomes and impacts.
The project addresses global challenges by providing local solutions. The project is aimed at increasing awareness and providing European Union regulations in one scan to emerging markets such as Albania and Western Balkans countries. The goal is to build the most local, user-friendly application of its kind, which offers information about healthy self-care products. By working with businesses that offer such products, the project aims to improve standards and perception in these markets and support these communities in their efforts to become part of Europe. The project addresses global challenges related to health and wellness by providing access to information about healthy self-care products and promoting healthier lifestyles. The project also addresses global challenges related to accessibility and affordability by providing this information for free to users, who can also contribute to the database of products by adding missing products. The project's focus on local solutions and collaboration with local businesses and communities makes it a valuable solution to global challenges at the local level.
