  • Description of the concept
Kosovo imports over 45 million kg of meat/year
Kosovo produces about 5 million kg of meat/year
About 1 million kg of animal waste is formed from meat production
Animal waste is not processed or classified in Kosovo, it only causes pollution of the environment and water sources.
During the decomposition of these files which remain on the surface of the earth, various greenhouse gases(carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide) are released which contribute to global warming. What we will offer is the management of this waste in the most eco-friendly way by processing the recyclable waste and managing the non-recyclable parts.
    Animal waste management
    Expansion of usable green spaces
Reduction of contaminants of green spaces
    Improving public and animal health
Increasing the standards of meat processors at the level of EU criteria
Our project envisages the creation of a basis for a cleaner environment, the increase of green spaces, the reduction of zoonotic and animal diseases, the increase of the standards of meat processors at the level of EU criteria. So, our project envisages a basis for the creation of a continuous, uninterrupted business by processing animal waste. It also helps the new generations in the following years to create a larger, uncontaminated green space that they could use for eco tourism, as well as meat processors to expand their market towards the EU.
Based on the fact that our project aims to prevent the pollution of green spaces, this means that the work itself will cause people to release good feelings of social responsibility, feelings of freedom to use natural spaces without restrictions. It will help certain groups to develop their businesses at higher levels and start-up businesses in the field of ecotourism because new spaces will be created which until now are often unusable. Therefore, based on these features, we can say that the project, in addition to being a business project, will also include many areas with wide social impacts.
Our project is related to the management of organic waste, particularly of animal origin. As a private enterprise, but with public influence, we will initiate continuous calls for the government to continuously improve the legal basis for the management of organic waste. Likewise, we will create a good environment for companies involved in meat processing to improve their work standards and this will enable them to increase their level of competitiveness.
Citizens will benefit from a cleaner environment, public health will reach high levels of well-being, and lower levels of danger, animal owners will reduce their maintenance costs for their animals and this will initiate an increase in the number of people who will take care of animals, etc.
The idea is in the initial stages, part of the expansion of the primary activity. The idea came from the need of meat processing businesses for waste management, prevention of pollution of green spaces (which remains one of the biggest problems of (green)), as well as the constant demand of animal owners for food cheaper. Part of the project are professionals from fields such as veterinary medicine, food technology, chemistry, economics, etc.
Veterinary medicine, food technology, chemistry, economics. A group work brought the idea of what is missing in the meat market to raise standards, which technology would be better to use for processing and which method, how it would affect the cleanliness of the environment and climate change, as well as income. financial.
The project will contain elements of innovation because it will be the first such method of animal waste management in Kosovo. Another element is the aim of placing on the market much cheaper products for animals, and this will be possible through the revenue channels that will be used, which will be the subscription from slaughterhouses to manage their waste, while the products for animals (food, supplements, fertilizer).
The working method will be different from the absolute majority of countries, and this will enable us to sell pet products at a price 3 or 4 times cheaper than the current products.
