TOURMIX is a decentralized and crowdsourced based logistics platform that optimize home deliveries by using existing commutes. Members of the social community can look for packages on the platform, and if they are going on a similar route, they can act as couriers. As a result, an additional journey of delivery is eliminated, thus making home deliveries CO2 neutral and providing for a sustainable delivery network.

TOURMIX connects people through packages.
Last mile deliveries contribute to the pollution of urban air as well as to the pollution of the environment as a whole. Some delivery services are using electric vehicles, but the improvement is still not enough. At TOURMIX, we came up with a system that allocates resources more efficiently to reduce the carbon impact of these deliveries. We envision a community of people delivering to each other while they commute, go on a walk, do their shopping, etc. Trips that would happen anyway are being utilized and additional shipping trucks become obsolete. In addition we will donate part of our revenue to CO2 removing projects, thus further offsetting the effect of last mile deliveries. Our dream is for last mile deliveries to be a convenience that does not pollute, but on the contrary benefits the environment.

Our climate impact is best demonstrated when you compare TOURMIX to traditional delivery services. On average, 100 delivered packages with one van produce 30kg of CO2. With TOURMIX, 100 mixers can deliver the same amount with net 0 emissions, because their trip from A to B in general will happen regardless of our service. On top of that part of our revenue is used also for carbon offsetting, we aim to support carbon offsetting projects like industrial hemp fields and emerald tree forests that remove significantly more CO2 than traditional forests. We have already removed 0,612 t CO2 and planted 480 trees.

TOURMIX delivers packages without any additional vehicles on the road. We are removing extra traffic. In Amsterdam there are lots of bikes for a good example, and they are using them for delivery as well. Cargo bikes are green, but the problem is the lack of capacity and the lack of free places. TOURMIX is a great option, because we do not use van fleets, we do not use warehouses. Because our model relys on the decentralized logistic model versus hub and spoke model.
We provied a customer-centric delivery which means an effective time-window solution. Our customers get their packages in a convenient way. Also we are building connections between the couriers -who we call mixers - and consignees.
Our solution handles in a very good manner the fragile products, because 1 mixer has 1 package at a time and that is why he/she can take care of the package.
