  • Description of the concept
Main idea is to create a module 7x7m with served and servant tract. Plan of the module is flexible so its adjustable for any user. Modules with the same dispositions can be added in order to serve more people. Beside from the living module, garden modules can be added to a plan. The idea for the garden module came as a solution for people that suffered trauma after the earthquake. It has shown that being in the nature and taking care of the plants helps people that suffered trauma to recover from it. It also helps to reduce stress from everyday life. Besides that it offers users to produce its own food which has many benefits. These modules are good solution for urgent situations because of their fast built.

    Reconnecting with nature
    Healing from trauma
    Fast solution
Normal life cycle is people starting a family, family growth, kids leaving their homes... These natural processes demand changes in homes they live. Most people have too many empty space in their homes or they have lack of it. This concept offers users to stay in the same place with the possibility to make their living space bigger or smaller. In context of sustainability that means that people won't need to use space they don't need, they won't spend extra energy for heating and electricity. Instead they could remove module they don't need and replace it with the garden modul. Gardens can be used for food growth. Food growth is not only healthy, but very sustainable. It saves energy and plastics for transport because you have everything right in front of you. And of course- it tastes better :)
In the time concept is made, people were locked because of Covid 19, divided from nature. In the same time earthquake caused people in Sisak-Moslavina County more pain and trauma. The idea is to heal people hit by this accident by connecting them with the nature in everyday life. Researches have shown that greenery and taking care of greenery reduces stress and may even help to heal from trauma. The design of housing modules gives positive emotions too because of plan flexibility. It gives chance to every user to create personalized space.
The look of the building connects it with the spirit of the place. Building looks like glasshouses that can be seen in the whole Sisak-Moslavina County.
The concept was made in the middle of Covid 19 crises after the earthquake. Because of modular montage system and floor plan flexibility, this modular urgent housing is easy to apply in any urgent situation. Because modules are being made in factories, less waste is being produced, it is much cheaper and more affordable than normal built.
Citizens of Sisak- Moslavina County lost their homes after the earthquake. This concept offers them fast solution. Also, this county is famous for its factories so the modules can be produced there which would give citizens jobs and chance to do good for others in need.
Damage caused by earthquake in Sisak- Moslavina County is estimated at 5 billion Euros. After crisis like this, Europe and government donate money for housing of people in need. The money would pay for the module produce. In the meantime, food and other donations have been sent from people all around the world.
I have always believed in power of space and nature on human psychology. That is why I attended classes that talked about green solutions and its impact on people and nature itself. This concept is based on learned benefits of greenery on people.
Innovative character is that, although those are modular homes for urgent situations, they still have note that thinks about the future. People are often moving and changing homes because the space is too big or too small and in that way they are using a lot of energy. This concept offers users to stay in the same place and adjust space for their needs and not the opposite.
The idea of creating module that can be produced in any factory can be used in many other situations. Also, surrounding people that has been to trauma with greenery is methodology that could be used in other places and contexts.
Concept addresses on any global situation that involves people in need of homes (refugees, people that suffered trauma ...).
