  • Description of the concept
The building industry makes the most waste in the word. You can hear sometimes a really impotant sentence in architecturas offices: "You can’t make enough waste in the design period, because it means less waste in the construction sites”. But sometimes the constructions can't be finishing and become a rubbish...literally rubbish. These semi-ready buildings are make an awfull atmosphere and steal spaces from citizens for decades. Why don’t we use it temporary for that years?

    Reduce forbidden spaces
    Make livable cities
    Give social living places
    Save semi-ready structures
Give a second life for forbidden structures
I live in Budapest and I can see tons of forbidden construction sites in my town and in my continent too. So in my research I find so many semi-ready constructions around the world. I want to reflect on this posture and give a second life to these structures.

I used a framework for making interior spaces, but it leaves so many spaces open. The open spaces could give place for social things. I try to show in thistale:

"I've been living in this house for almost 32 years. I've been moving here alone. I was the first resident of the apartment. In the past, this building was a factory warehouse. But after that, when the industrial company left this area, this storage became a living building..."
"...That flat was on the uppest floor, from there you can overlook the old town. They were very good times. You know ... A young single’s beginning of adult life. My apartment was like a gateway house. All my friends really loved coming over to me. We had the coolest parties in the city on the roof terrace. Iggy Pop could have taken it. The biggest party was when we were 80 ... there was not enough place for everyone on the roof. So the party spread down to the lower levels. That night was when I met with Betty for the first time. I remember we were looking at each other secretly... but the guys were always around her ... But once I noticed that she was finally alone... That was my moment. But you know, we were standing above the city, at night, the party lights, silent jazz in the background ... If I would go to her with the worst words, it would have been a magical moment too ...After a long time, Betty was the first girl who mesmerized me. A year and a half later, Betty moved into my flat. So we had to build the gallery level. It was super because the bed was over, plus a table and a small cupboard. So there is a very liveable space for us. I often have to take my job to home, but I could look down while I was working, and I saw Betty in the kitchen or practicing yoga or reading books. So we were in contact..."
There is a smart phone application for the house. You can share with others what are your plans in the period of 5-10-20 years, what size of apartment you will need. There is also a residential community contract, which provides pre-emptive rights for home purchase. With the help of that, we moved to the third floor, a double apartment because we knew we would soon have a baby. And for of us could easily fit in such an apartment. The years have passed ... Two children were born. They growed up healthy. Peter, the elder, moved to the capital city. Luca, the younger, just completed the university. She had imagined her future in Győr, we split the apartment apart. She could stay in one half, Betty and me in the other half. It went easily. The mechanical and electrical wires were already in the walls. You know this house was designed, considering the changeable needs of people... so that we only had to build a wall. You know, my parents at that time could not afford to get an apartment to me... and checking the price of the apartments, I would not have had enough money for it neither. However, with a little investment we could give our daughter an apartment. Do you know how good it feels?!"

    End of the story from:
one of resident from the house,
    Budapest, 2055.08.12.
Some social workers help me find the forbidden places, what could be an action field. So thay work as a location manager.
The main disciplines in this work was: Social knowledge, architecture, engineer, landscape architecture. These totally different fields make this project.
The innovation lies in the fact that one of the greatest handicaps of residential buildings is their inability to adapt to changing situations and handle changes in the size of the family flexibly - so the common habit in such cases is to move. The housing boxes, on the other hand, adapt to the grid of the existing reinforced concrete pillar frame structure and can accommodate different apartment sizes, which can be reduced or increased later by opening or closing the boxes together. Another way could be the possibility of exchanging apartments within the house. A forum can function within the house, in which the residents can plan and indicate their long-term apartment size needs. For example, an older couple living in a larger apartment, from which the children have already flown out, can exchange their apartment with a young couple living in a smaller box who are about to have children. The good functioning of this is facilitated by the large common terraces, which provide the opportunity for the development of a well-functioning residential community through meetings, where the intention to help each other is strongly present, not necessarily only when it comes to exchanging apartments.
it is a universally applicable strategy that can be adapted regardless of nation and continent.
After the coronavirus, many people living alone have become lonely and isolated. This co-living project can help poverty, homelessness, isolation, loneliness, abandoned buildings.
