  • Description of the initiative
Since its foundation, ArtLink has strived to initiate positive social change. We strongly believe that artist, as creators, have an overwhelming social responsibility to instigate positive change in their immediate surroundings and in their society as a whole. Even though artists are fully capable of interacting with their audience(s), effectively and efficiently breaking down the barriers of ignorance, distrust, unawareness, and even irresponsibility, their message becomes stronger when other experts in their own “art fields” are included in the common effort. Vice versa, the artists can and do help the experts to be remarked, listened to and appreciated, by the public. The artists help the experts be more readily understood, reduce public’s initial resistance, and help their knowledge be utilized in effortless, almost playful manner.
This is why ArtLink, with its partners has decided to improve the concept for the implementation of the Play for Nature Bogame.
The intention is to use the engagement of the artistic performance, game playing and other activities to nurture a voluntary behavioral change that will not only raise the awareness on the topic, but will also motivate the target audiences to actively join in this process.
At this point culture can play an important role of the motivator and the proposed method of interacting in the creation of art work brings down the narrow frame of certain forms offering a much broader creative perspective. It allows change to occur as a play, even a game, so as not to encounter as much resistance from the local population and institutions.
The main target group of the board game “Play for Nature ” are children aged 7 In that view, learning about the different methods of preserving and protecting the nature and energy savings in the schools and using games to enable kids to bring those lessons home and play an important role in helping their families find ways to save nature and energy and make their environment.

The key objectives are to teach children in the schools about the basic
knowledge on the topic of environment, renewable energies protection of the
    nature through playing the game.
Children - eco motivators - by presenting it in the schools it also raises the awareness of the grown
population, teachers, parents and general population on this important
    topic.
The project presents artistic works of visual artist through exhibitions of the illustrations and other events in the schools, but also other institutions and public spaces
The additional added value is that the project is created as regional in
several languages and by creating common children game, it connects people in the region through common programs and project, strengthen people to peoples links and build more sustainable relations and sustainable development in the region.
Including stakeholders on different levels to support the project and find the ways to promote it through the networks of the schools, cities and regions
Creating a new regional platform for the schools on this topic

The project enable sustainability since different stakeholders are involved
from bottom up – the Project is created by an Association of artists that
operates on regional level with the support of Business company, but
integrates schools in 5 countries in the region, local municipalities,
    Ministries, Embassies and media.
All those stakeholders will continue to invest in this project and it will
grow and reach every year more and more children and adults and
    institutions.
The Board game is designed by the group of artists, who are recognized in their fields, with a number of important international recognition and awards and experience in creating illustrations and charismatics with the intention to create and spread the message/
It is an art work, with contributions of several artists, their illustrations, and very original concept and design.
The story and the concept are unique and created for this project. Story is very much in line with children psychology and esthetics. And the concept of the game combines two different game models - based on questions and answers and the other one is a memory game with a new concepts. In both ways children learn and develop their skills.
By organizing the tournaments in playing the game, the project also develop the sport spirit and motivation.
The best children receive the awards and become recognized as the eco motivators in their schools. It brings them the feelings of being leaders in doing something for a common good. They feel the importance of being awarded and they intend to show the good example to the others. It is a nice feeling and positive change that happens on individual but also group level.
There is also an additional cultural aspect in the project in exhibiting the artists works in public spaces in combination with the concerts, and workshops for children.
The project becomes the part of the programs of different festivals in the region, that promote the project in their programs, very often organizing workshops for children in public spaces, parks and different cultural venues.
This is how art and cultural make positive changes in their communities, by offering to initiate the change in behavior through creativity and game starting from our youngsters.

The region as a whole is facing the same challenges and has the same needs.
Investing in youth, culture and education is the crucial for the development of the region. schools and different partners.
