I initiated and coordinated the project "Be Green. Think Green. Act Green.", choosing this name out of a desire to make as many students as possible aware of the importance of protecting the environment and to be, think and act as green as possible. We wanted to be the voice of change in our society. We looked around and saw the gaps in our community. So we decided to tackle a topical issue, namely excessive nature pollution.

The idea of our project, "Be green. Think Green. Act Green" , is to get as involved as possible in raising awareness of the importance of recycling and respecting nature, from an early age, as it is easier to form the right habits from the start, instead of correcting the wrong ones. As today's children are tomorrow's future, it is important that they realise the condition of our planet, that global warming is caused by excessive pollution and that they are taught to protect and respect the environment.
We are trying to make society more environmentally friendly and aware of the repercussions we and future generations will suffer!!!
The project consisted of implementing activities aimed at the final awareness of the importance of protecting the environment! The activities carried out were: "Steps of Progress", the first activity, consisted in placing on the stairs of the college some rules that all students could see every day and were urged to follow. We chose to draw up 15 rules to stick on 15 steps, because May 15 is celebrated International Day of Climate Action. This was followed by the "Curious about the environment" competition, in which we wanted to offer a fun alternative for students to get involved in protecting the environment. Another equally exciting activity was the "Workshop Green" and consisted of working with students from the and secondary schools in Tecuci, but also in the country, - Zam School in Hunedoara. Another, I might say, interesting activity was the "Treasure Hunt" which was intended to encourage greening activities. This was followed by the "Wordwall Wheel" activity, which presented the 15 rules in the form of an interactive game. During Global Education Week, the "Tranquility" activity was the most waited. In this activity, we encouraged students in grades IX A and X F to create a Photostory, which consisted of choosing a photo or drawing, illustrating the idea of peace in the world and in nature, together with a relevant text.

In the Europe of year 2020 (declared by the UN as the "international year of plant health"), we believe that ecological
education should be a priority. although we are aware of the major importance of trees – the most longevive living
organisms on Terra -, we do everything in our power to destroy the wonderful forest ecosystem.
All participating schools have the opportunity to share the good practices resulting from the application of their own
school curriculum: ecotourism classes in Northern Macedonia, the profile of Agriculture and Household (landscape
worker) within the school in Lithuania, the Natural Sciences class in Romania, the ecology courses environment in
Turkey and Portugal.
In order to understand and perceive the situation of forests in Europe more realistically, it is necessary to integrate in
the general picture all types of forest landscapes in the European Union: Mediterranean, Atlantic, Nordic, CentralEuropean; is the main reason why we are requesting the financing of a project that includes schools located near such
forests;
Everything starts from education. A well-informed person will pay special attention to the forest environment and will
have a greater respect for mother-nature. And if, through this project, with the proper means and using the appropriate
methods, he will acquire ecological skills and abilities, that person will become a true citizen of Green Europe
This is why we consider as a priority the development of a forest ecology project aimed at those who want to change
their way of life. We must live green. We live and forage. We live and ecologize. We live and recycle. We live and
travel. We live and observe. We respect nature. First, we must do all this, then think about how to convince others to
do the same.

On 15 May, International Climate Action Day, the stairs of the "Spiru Haret" National College in Tecuci held 15 rules for the environment, which students were invited to follow. The competition "Curiosities about the Environment", led to find out more interesting information about the environment, as well as the green workshop, which aimed to create as many recyclable objects as possible, because the future of the planet relies on greening actions. The ActionBound app hosted a treasure hunt where students could green a specific trail by completing all the quests.
This activity is destined to the teachers within the target group. The main objective is harmonizing the investigation methods and techniques and promoting the forest
environment.
The objectives that we want to achieve through this activity are: correct assimilation of the terms, concepts and principles of the forest ecology; developing the
intepretation and analysis capacity of the structural and functional properties of the forest environment; transfer and use of knowledge during learning situations;
familiarisation with the legislation of the forest environment, evaluation and critical analysis of environmental policies in Europe; developing management skills for
projecting and implementing an environment project; the capacity to communicate in English on forest ecology subjects.
The activity will be structured on 2 distinct parts:
A. Organizing a training course on the subject ”Management of the forest ecology”, 24 hours long (3 days), in which 20 teachers will participate, 4 for each participant
school; the training course will include:
-presenting the EU legislation regarding forests: ”Forest MAP” (2015);
-creating a dictionary for terms about forest ecology;
-hosting multiple workshops with mixed groups (teachers from distinct schools); outsourcing the workshop products will be made through the ellaboration, by each
group, of a forest ecology project, which will be applicable for general study;
-evaluating the training course: individually (written) and in groups (oral presentation of the project);
B. Participating at a debate on the subject ”Durable management of the forest environment in Europe”
Over the course of this activity, the following methods will be applied: description, observation, conversation, explication, mathematical statistics, case study, graphic
manipulation and mapping of the results, comparison, questionnaires, scientific projects, brainstorming.
To achieve the objectives we propose the following activities:
- carrying out works to promote the forest areas near the participating high schools (one for each) that will be
presented during a Session of students' scientific communications; the works must contain information from the field of

-organizing an exhibition of photographs taken in the perimeter of the forests from the participating high schools; the
best photos will be used to design a Green Calendar; we want to stimulate creativity and artistic originality;
- conducting ecological activities
The present project will have an impact on the students as follows: they will be more inclined towards ecological
activities, to protect nature and the environment, to spend more time in nature; the exhibition and artistic activities will
make the participants more open to being consumers of culture and even to contribute with their own creations;
participation in mobility will make them more tolerant of other cultures and develop their sense of European belonging;
they will be more sociable, more involved, more active;
The impact on teachers is obvious: they will be able to apply the managerial skills acquired through the implementation
of new Erasmus + or eTwinning projects; by creating / improving the European portfolio, they will be more open to
partnerships, to linguistic, virtual or direct communication; will apply the new acquisitions during the course hours or
other educational activities; they will prove very easy in transmitting ecological messages;
The objectives pursued in this activity are: acquisition of information on the forest landscape in Turkey; investigating the forest landscape from an economic and
ecological perspective; development of artistic and practical skills aimed at protecting and conserving the forest environment;
environment.
The objectives that we want to achieve through this activity are: correct assimilation of the terms, concepts and principles of the forest ecology; developing the
