Application of environmental improvement systems in industrial areas through the implementation of NBS. Environmental, but also social, economic and cultural improvement has been achieved through the combined incorporation of standards of renaturing and sustainable urban drainage systems located along a green-blue corridors. The NBS have been materialized in two pilot projects: one in Argales industrial park (Valladolid, Spain) and another in Cantarias industrial area (Bragança, Portugal).

Community art project encountered in various forms, including mosaic installation and bringing people together in a collaborative and creative process. Main project objective was to create the space for people to connect within their community in an esthetic manner. The mosaic installations was honoring the green culture principles. It had been done with recycle materials hoping to achieve the goal that culture can contribute to the protection of the environment.

In the ecovillage solutions for every SDG have been implemented and this integral approach combined with a number of building innovations has won them three separate sustainable building awards in 2021. This is a citizen led initiative and all 47 inhabitants have participated in the design and building of the houses.

What is hidden beyond the elegant buildings of the Italian historical city centres? Interno Verde once a year exceptionally opens the secret gardens of Parma, Mantua and Ferrara to the public. For a weekend it trasforms the intimate and private space into a shared, inclusive space. It invites the communities to preserve their gardens, and to look at them with different eyes, as precious green islands which innervate the urban fabric, essential for protecting biodiversity and reducing pollution.

Modular shoes from recycled plastic waste

At SALUBATA, we occupy a niche where we repurpose shoes from ocean deemed plastic wastes. These shoes are modular and saves over 70% of manufacturing energy and are designed to be recycled. Our near goal is to reach a critical mass of 1 million shoes that are made from old plastic bottle wastes, recollect the shoes and recycle them back into other shoes; thus attaining a closed loop system where zero waste escapes. With this model, we believe we can stamp out plastic pollution in its entirety.

The Stories of the Three Wanderers

A participatory project that unveiled various perspectives of relationships we build with each-other, through and with objects that surround us. 3 jewelry pieces wandered the world for 1 year, from host to host and explored connections: maker – wearer, past wearer – present wearer, object – person. The work itself was the journey of the pieces, changing context and environments, reflecting on host's personality, behaviors, routines.
