One part of the research and action was also done in Topolo a small village in Italy.     Floating University Berlin

    Floating University Berlin: Natureculture Pedagogies, Natureculture Strategies

    Floating University Berlin is a natureculture learning site created by over 50 artists, designers, architects, scientists, engineers, neighbours and kids. It is located in a polluted rainwater retention basin of the former Tempelhof Airport. It is simultaneously a working infrastructure of the city's water system and a home to wetland plants, birds, frogs, bats and foxes. The experimental educational campus was built with low-impact materials and includes various water filtration systems. Today it offers a broad range of cultural and educational programs around peoples' relationships with the city and the more-than-human world.

    Kagome Project

    Kagome Project : a post-formed elastic gridshell made of intertwined reused timber laths

    An elastic gridshell is an efficient constructive typology for crossing large spans with little material. A flat elastic grid is built before buckling the structure into shape, in active and post-formed bending. Kagome is made 100% of wood : its laths are interlaced to form a japanese traditionnal pattern, called Kagome, which makes the structure naturally braced. This pavillion is standing at the Parc de la Butte du Chapeau Rouge, a public square in the working-class area of Paris.

The project proposes an original green commemoration and inclusive dialog-oriented approach to working with difficult heritage and local communities by incorporating educational, civic and environmental elements.

    Belgrade's urban community gardens

    Urban strategic development projects to support the community gardens civic initiative in Belgrade

    Citizens of Belgrade, for more than a decade, have been trying to formalize their initiative for urban community gardens. However, this kind of urban social practice, implemented in many European cities, in Serbia is not an easy government task due to many post-socialist transition constraints. Within this initiative, the Academy’s effort to enable communication and connect decision-makers with citizens was fruitful and opened the door for Belgrade's urban community gardens enactment.
