    Fabmobil

    Fabmobil - a rolling digital education lab for rural and decentralized areas in East Germany

    The Fabmobil is a double-decker bus that has been converted into an art and digital workshop and is travelling across the rural countryside to bring digital education and the therefore necessary technologies to the people who need them. The workshop bus is in use for a variety of events and workshops, courses and target groups in the field of emancipatory and self-effective media education. Usually the bus travells the region and stops for 1-5 days to host the workshops.

    Culinary students at Vocational school in Đakovo (Croatia) made pralines named Sophia's hearts. The idea was inspired by the story of bishop Mandić and his relationship with Jakob Haibel who was actually Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's brother-in-law and a prominent musician. He was invited to the Đakovo Cathedral for that particular reason. At that point, Jakob and Sophia got an opportunity for their romance. Their love story was an inspiration for our school's project Sophia's hearts.

    Faro for the heartquake

    Faro for the heartquake: shared archive of the community memory for people and their "common goods"

    Faro for the Earthquake is a valorisation project to gather, in an archive of the memory, the testimonies of life and knowledge of each village hitten by the 2016 earthquake in center Italy, ispired by the COE Faro Convention, throught a partecipatory process. The reconstruction of the towns destroyed by the earthquake will take time, but the community that will enter will be very different from the original, with the risk to lose the "human capital" of whom built and lived those villages.

    Natural Building School

    Natural Building School - An educational initiative of Spreeplan Architects

    The Natural Building School, as part of the Spreeplan Projekt UG educational initiative, uses “learning through experience” in seminars and workshops to impart specialist knowledge on the subject of healthy, ecological building and renovation. The educational offer is aimed at adult professionals and laypeople as well as explicitly at children and young people. The events are held either in public educational institutions or in our own seminar center in Räbel (Saxony-Anhalt).

    MY-CO SPACE is a habitable sculpture made of wood and fungi that invites the sensual reflection and exploration of sustainable ways of living and dwelling on our planet. The load-bearing wooden structure, covered with 330 fungal panels, is intended to make life in the smallest space (analogous to that of a space capsule) and co-habitation with fungi physically tangible. It was built from organic materials and thus fully biodegradable. Currently, it is on show at a University library in Berlin.
