    Tunèa is a citizen-based cultural project aimed to reactivate and evolve the connection between the Carloforte coastal community, on San Pietro island in Sardinia, and the marine ecosystem marked by the Thunnus thynnus route. The symbiotic evolution between community culture and tuna ecology can still be read here thanks to the existence of one of the last fixed tuna fisheries in the Mediterranean, but global economic dynamics related to the tuna market threaten to make it slowly disappear.

    What used to be a grey and sealed transit point, mostly occupied by fringe groups is now a high quality place for everyone: The Praterstern Vienna is crossed and visited by up to 150,000 people every day. Plenty of new trees, a water feature and lush greenery add to the visual improvement, and an underground sponge city stores fresh water for heat periods. Together with KENH Architekten, social workers and other experts we created an inclusive, green breather amidst the urban hustle and bustle.

    Mărțișor (Urban) Community Orchard is an initiative born from the need of Bucharest citizens living in center of the city, after the pandemic social distance and isolation, to reconnect and work in a positive and healthy space. The project stated in spring 2021 and finished its first stage in May 2022. The second scope was to regenerate an old orchard belonging to a very known Romanian poet named Tudor Arghezi using permaculture technics together with the local citizens living in the proximity.

    Once every two years during Spring, across the border between Portugal and Spain, a touring, pocket-sized orchestra performs free concerts by the dozen in sparsely populated rural regions. Composed by young musicians from both countries, it promotes the reconnection between communities and territories via the contact of local populations with the aesthetic power of classical music, while nurturing local talent in an effort to halt brain drain across these rapidly aging communities.
