14+ Budapest: Walking Tours for High Schools

The best way to discover a city is through walking. The 14+Budapest project provides an opportunity for high schools in Budapest, Hungary to create a tailor-made walking tour in their own neighbourhood. During the programme students participate in a series of educational lectures and workshops about architecture and urbanism and a private architectural tour. The outcome is a thematic tour created and led by students, documented in a foldable map for the school to hand out.

The subject of the initiative is the cooperative elaboration of a law of urban design in the listed settlement "Dunkelschlag" in Oberhausen to secure its urban design.
The settlement belongs to the architectural heritage of the city of Oberhausen, so that the law of urban design is intended to serve the preservation of the historic settlement and contributes to the identity-creating added value of the settlement structure. The citizenry will be closely involved in this process

Art on Wheels - travelling contemporary art exhibition for children and youth

“Art on Wheels” is a travelling exhibition of 4 new, interdisciplinary, innovative, contemporary artworks for an audience of school-age children. This mobile exhibition, accompanied by well-considered educational programme and located in 2 minivans travels to remote regions of Latvia, mostly schools, thus providing access to contemporary art outside of the capital of the country (primarily aiming to engage those to whom it is the first encounter with contemporary art).

A SCHOOL FOR UKRAINIAN REFUGEES
WE ARE OPENING SCHOOLS: a school for Ukrainian refugees in an office building (Warsaw, Poland)

Due to the war in Ukraine more than 7.4million refugees had to leave their homeland. As Poland was a first choice for many of women and children, we needed extra spaces to help them regain the sense of security. We focused on children and the need and right for education.
Since the pandemic has changed the way we work, there were empty spaces available in office buildings. We combined the need with the opportunity and in only 2months we created a 1240sqm school for 300 children and 30 teachers.
